There could soon be a noticeable number of Boston Red Sox fans who runs empty -handed around Fenway Park.
Fans are encouraged to buy their preferred drink or food item outside the gates of the historic ballpark, because concession staff are in danger of strike.
The Red Sox was inactive on Thursday after completing a road trip. The team returns on Friday for a match against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Last month, Aramark -employees and members of Unite voted Local 26 for a labor attack, The Boston Herald reported.

There has never been an occupational attack in the 113-year history of Fenway Park. Last month, Aramark employees voted at Fenway Park and MGM Music Hall for the permission of the very first strike.

Aramark employees in Fenway Park and MGM Music Hall are represented by the unite here Local 26 Willing Union. Employees represented by the trade union include: chefs, barbacks, souvenir suppliers, utility workers, cashiers and others who work in the Ballpark and the nearby Muziekzaal.

“Aramark and the trade union did not make significant progress in the direction of an agreement during their last negotiating session, which took place last week,” said the trade union.
“As a result … Fenway employees are ready to stop for the first time in the 113-year history of America’s favorite ballpark.”

The most recent contract of employees went almost seven months ago.
The employees claim that they “fight” for several “important requirements” in a potential new deal. In addition to higher wages, employees want to see “guardrails about automation” and the implementation of a planning system that “respects the seniority of employees”.

According to Local 26, cashiers in Fenway Park earn $ 18.52 per hour during their service, while employees at the Miami Marlins Loandewot Park in Miami who own the same function will receive $ 21.25 per hour.
