President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that the US agreed to sell weapons to NATO, only a few moments after he said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has 50 days to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine or compared to “100%” rates.
NATO-Secretary-General Mark Rutte said that Trump called him on Thursday to confirm that he wanted to close a deal with NATO allies to sell them weapons for help to Ukraine.
Trump said billions of dollars would be bought from American weapons from allies such as Germany, Finland and Denmark who “are distributed quickly” to Ukraine.

Trump says that we will send Patriot missiles to Ukraine, adds that Putin is ‘fun and then he bombs everyone’
“This is really big,” Rutte told reporters from the Oval Office who was sitting next to Trump.
Rutte, who said that the decision was built on the “enormous success” of NATO top last month when almost every nation in the Alliance agreed to increase their defense expenditure to reach 5% of GDP of their country, called the move “logical”.
“These are again European countries that stand upright,” Rutte added. “I have had contact with many countries, I can tell you Germany at the moment, but also Finland and Denmark and Sweden and Norway, we have the kingdom of the Netherlands, Canada – they all want to be part of this.
“And this is only the first wave. There will be more,” Rutte confirmed. “So what we will do is work through NATO systems to ensure that we know what Ukrainians need.”

Trump that considers more help to Ukraine as frustration grows with Russia
Rutte said he had already had a meeting with Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth to ensure that the US maintains what it needs for its stocks, but also cooperates with NATO bondmates to fulfill orders for the defense of Ukraine.
Trump said he was “very unhappy” with Moscow and expressed that he expressed his frustration about what he thought he should have been a foregone conclusion at least two months ago.
Both leaders said they thought they had concluded an agreement with Putin four different occasions, but then “bombs would be thrown away that night, and you would say – we don’t close deals,” Trump said reporters.
“I talk to him a lot about doing this thing, and I always hang up and always say,” Well, that was a nice phone call, “and then rockets in Kyiv or another city are launched, and I would say” Strange, “Trump said he told his conversations with Putin.” And then happens three or four times, you say nothing. “

The president opposed an important talk point of some isolationist republicans who opposed the continuation of American support for Ukraine.
“Ultimately, having a strong Europe is very good,” Trump added.
