A North Korean man ran over one of the most dangerous borders in the world and in the South Korean detention at the end of Thursday.
The non -geïdentified man, who was unarmed, crossed the heavily reinforced demilitarized zone (DMZ), The corresponding press reported.
The joint staff chefs of South Korea said that troops followed him in the central-west section of the border and led him through the site of my mine focused terrain before he took him into custody.
Military officers did not say whether the man tried to defect. The United Nations command command was informed and no unusual movement was observed on the North Korean side.

The intersection comes in the midst of growing criticism of the strategy from South Korea to the north.
Since the performance of 11 June, the Liberal President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung, has taken steps to illuminate friction with Pyongyang. He stopped loudspeaker broadcasts that shot messages in the north and moved to ban balloon launches by activists wearing pro-democracy leaflets, according to the Associated Press.

Border incidents between the two Koreas are also becoming more frequent. In April, ten North Korean troops briefly exceeded the military definition line before withdrawing after warning shots. Last year saw three similar raids, according to the Associated Press.
Thursday’s incident did not include a group of soldiers, but a single man who crossed from North Korea to the south. It is becoming rarerly considered for possible defectors to choose this route; Typical defectors of Noord -Korera take a path through China instead.

Diplomatic conversations between the US and Noord -Korea have been frozen since 2019, when the negotiations on denuclearization collapsed. Since then, Kim has poured out resources to expand his nuclear arsenal and repeatedly threatened both Seoul and Washington.

President Donald Trump has warned Noord -Korea that the US will respond vigorously to every aggression. His administration continues to work for a strong alliance with South Korea and Japan, and to keep a close eye on Pyongyang.
