So the Iranians send back a ridiculous set of deal terms that don’t even mention their nuclear threats. Nor is there any mention of their ongoing state-sponsored terrorism. And President Trump quickly responded that this was unacceptable.
Time and time again, the president has said that Iran should not have nuclear capabilities. No more nuclear weapons building, no enriched uranium, no more missiles, no more terrorist allies and no more control over the Strait of Hormuz. Those are his red lines. He will stick to them. And as for Hormuz, the US Navy has now begun reopening the Strait. They guided two ships through the Strait today and will likely deploy many more ships to transit safely through the Strait.
Whether the Iranian thugs realize it or not, America has essentially completely taken over the Persian Gulf, which I think should be the Arabian Gulf, although personally I may be willing to hold out for Trump’s Gulf. The Iranians fired on the United Arab Emirates, which has become a staunch American ally. OPEC must increase oil production and conduct transactions via the dollar.
Our naval blockade continues to operate as Iran sinks deeper into economic and financial ruin. No oil, no money, no wage or pension packages. Even all that money that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards stole and looted from the Iranian people, including running their businesses, and all those offshore bank accounts have now been frozen or even seized by the US Treasury Department.
Ret. General Jack Keane discusses President Donald Trump’s announcement of ‘Project Freedom’ to escort neutral ships safely out of the Strait of Hormuz on ‘Kudlow’.
Meanwhile, Iran’s storage capacities, without oil exports, are full and overcrowded, and a shutdown is imminent. Once that happens, the oil fields will be severely damaged for quite some time.
The blockage will remain in place. The Navy will gradually reopen the Strait of Hormuz and the US order will be imposed on the entire region as more supertankers flow through, which should lower oil prices and perhaps even gasoline prices at the pump. However, the ceasefire lasted three weeks. The Iranians have not responded with serious talks. And my suspicion is that Mr. Trump is losing patience with them.
At some point, Iran’s leaders will no longer be able to get home at night before the bombings resume. Analysts say it will only take a few more weeks to fully complete the mission. No deal can be made without the president’s red lines. And indeed, I still believe we are on the path to unconditional surrender.
I can just see Mr. Trump meeting with an Iranian leader, if he can find one. Tell that person to take a blank piece of paper and write down this and that. That’s called dictating. Dictate unconditionally.
