Apparently not much.
Iran confirms it has agreed to the ceasefire. Fars Iran adds that the US has accepted its 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiations, including Iranian control of Hormuz, full compensation for war damage and the withdrawal of US troops from the region.
Iran’s Foreign Minister announced that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen for two weeks during the ceasefire, but that the Strait will remain under Iranian control.
The agreement makes no mention of Iran’s nuclear program, meaning Trump’s pretext for starting this war of choice has been taken off the table.
None of this stopped Trump from celebrating his surrender at Truth Social:
Based on discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir of Pakistan, in which they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent to Iran this evening, and provided that the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attacks on Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double-sided ceasefire!
