Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren is reportedly “concerned” after the golf star was charged with driving under the influence following a car crash in Florida on Friday.
“The children have a good bond with Tiger, so of course Elin cares about it too,” says an unnamed person source told People. “She wants him to do well. Both children are wonderful and enjoy spending time with their father. Elin is concerned that he has been in another car accident and has been arrested.”
No one was injured in the rollover crash just after 2 p.m. on Jupiter Island in Florida. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Woods showed “signs of impairment” in the incident, but his breath test was normal. Woods refused to take a urine test, the sheriff said.
She and Woods divorced the following year after reports of his serial infidelity.
The two share daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 17, and were reportedly recently dating seen celebrating their son’s high school golf performance last month.
Woods was involved in another car accident in Los Angeles in 2021, where he suffered serious injuries that required surgery. The source who told People about Nordegren’s concerns said Woods’ recovery from that incident was “brutal.”
Nordegren “just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids,” the source said.
