The ask sounded on social media after Woods was charged Friday with driving under the influence, property damage and refusing to take a urine test in a rollover wreck not far from his Jupiter Island, Florida.
And now we may have an answer.
People signed up On Sunday, Woods won’t leave the driving to others because he “doesn’t want anyone watching over him or knowing what he’s doing,” a source said. “And he thinks he can drive just fine.”
History would show otherwise. But the 15-time champion’s concerns about privacy apparently outweigh his record.
“He is not a social butterfly and prefers to hang out with his kids around the house, hitting balls or playing video games,” the source told People. “He abhors public scrutiny.”
Woods, who is dating Vanessa Trump, has reportedly raised concerns among the Trump family and the Secret Service, a family insider told the New York Post.
Vanessa Trump has five children with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr.
The officers certainly won’t let Tiger Woods – even without the DUI – drive the children, the source said.
The Secret Service told HuffPost in an email that they “cannot comment on how we are conducting our protective operations.”
Woods’ previous crash in 2021 led to multiple operations and a rocky comeback in sports. He has played in only 11 tournaments ever since.
Woods said he hoped to play in the 2026 Masters, which takes place April 9-12, but that seems unlikely. according to GolfChannel.com.
HuffPost reached out to representatives for Woods but did not immediately hear back.
