Zohran Mamdani is New York City’s first Muslim mayor, activist Mahmoud Khalil is a graduate of two major American universities, and Pennsylvania’s alleged ISIS-inspired bombers come from wealthy suburbs that most people can only dream of. So why on earth do these privileged people hate America so much?
Seriously, what has America done to Mamdani other than provide him with unlimited opportunities? How can he and his supporters have such contempt for the capitalist culture and the capitalist country that has opened so many doors for them?

And Khalil is a man who was educated at the American University in Lebanon, and then at Columbia University, Alexander Hamilton’s alma mater. How does he express his gratitude? By leading riots in New York, calling for the end of Western civilization and, of course, threatening the safety of Jewish students.
Speaking of Jews, we’ve learned that Mamdani’s wife, Rama Duwaji, who was pictured this week serving Khalil a meal at Gracie Mansion, liked a tweet saying the brazen Hamas attack on Israel on September 7 was a hoax.

It’s interesting how often contempt for America and hatred of Jews are two sides of the same coin. Big Satan, Little Satan and all that.
Hizzoner says his wife is not a public figure and refuses to address the issue, but Rama certainly seems like a public figure when she poses for spreads in glossy magazines.
Then we have the unfortunate would-be bombers from Tony Chester County, Pennsylvania. The parents of one of them own a Popeye’s franchise. The kid is rich and has unlimited access to fried chicken, so what would drive him and his buddy to destroy America and establish a global Islamic caliphate?

This is where the conversation gets a little awkward.
All week we saw images coming out of Gracie Mansion, home to the mayor of Gotham, of Mamdani and guests breaking their Ramadan fast, shoes off, sitting on Persian rugs on the floor. It’s really shoved in the faces of all of us.

Meanwhile, Mamdani seems to be constantly appearing at Muslim houses of worship and recently applauded the growth of Islam in the city, saying, “Mosques are popping up all over New York. It’s beautiful. It’s a sign that our community is growing stronger every day.”

In 1960, when John F. Kennedy broke the ultimate religious barrier in American politics, he did so by saying, in effect, “You won’t even know I’m Catholic because it has nothing to do with the job.” This is certainly not the style of Mamdani, who has made himself a poster child for his faith.
Of course, the progressives who applaud the rise of Islam in our cities understand the trap they are setting. Anyone who doubts one of New York’s most famous public buildings will become the set of “Sinbad the Sailor” is a fanatic.
The problem is that when Khalil is involved in the public celebration of Ramadan, which would welcome the overthrow of not only Israel but also the United States, it is no longer just a holiday hallmark but a dangerous political statement.

Moreover, as we know from the allegiance to ISIS espoused by the alleged attackers, Islam is not a small, marginalized faith group; it is the largest in the world with 2 billion people. It governs more countries than any other religion on the planet.
This brings us back to our original question: why do Mamdani and Duwaji, and Khalil and the bombers, want to bring down the nation that has given them so many opportunities?

It increasingly appears that they are objecting to the fact that our American capitalist system is not Muslim.

This is why there are concerns about places like Cedar Riverside in Minneapolis, where the Muslim Somali community makes no effort to assimilate, but rather exists as its own quasi-Islamic, fraud-funded state.
This is why Texans are concerned about plans to create Muslim communities in the state that exist virtually independently of everything else.
It’s not unreasonable for people to look to figures like newly minted multimillionaire Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. who owe everything they have to this country and the enormous generosity of its people, and find the complete lack of gratitude absolutely creepy.

Everyone mentioned above, and honestly almost everyone in Mandani’s Gen Z group of illiterate communists, comes from privileges and luxuries that most of my neighbors in West Virginia will never know, even if they probably pay for some of it.
The American people are waking up, they have seen what happened in Britain and Canada. Being a Muslim American is great, just like any other faith, but being a Muslim who wants to overthrow America and its culture is another matter, and Mamdani and his cabal are increasingly looking like the latter.
